Privacy
We collect the information needed to create, deliver, and support personalized songs. That can include your contact details, story prompts, lyrics, uploaded reference media, project identifiers, and gift delivery information.
We use that information to run the service, deliver your song and gift links, answer support requests, send requested emails, and understand what parts of the site are working. We do not describe this as selling your personal information, but we do use analytics and advertising vendors that may receive technical data by default unless you turn those categories off in the preferences below.
The main processors and tools behind the service include Clerk, Stripe, Resend, Supabase/Postgres, PostHog, Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, and the generation providers we use to create song outputs. We retain data for as long as we need to operate the service, support your purchase, and honor deletion or privacy requests.
Voice interviews and microphone recordings
During a live voice interview, audio is streamed securely to OpenAI for the interview and transcription. We store the structured song brief and do not save a full transcript of the conversation.
When you start the voice song interview, My Forever Songs automatically records only your local microphone audio—not the AI interviewer. The typed song flow does not record microphone audio.
We keep the recording in private storage for up to 30 days so we can preserve name pronunciation and support a personalized singing-voice option. We do not use these recordings to train a shared or general AI model. Creating or sending a voice sample to a voice provider requires a separate confirmation.
During an active interview, microphone audio is saved as rolling private checkpoints, normally about every 30 seconds, and the final segment is saved when the interview ends normally. If the browser or device closes unexpectedly, the newest unfinished checkpoint may not be saved.
The voice interview is for customers recording their own voice. You can stop and delete the recording in the interview, or request deletion through Support. Deletion also revokes permission to use that recording for a personalized voice.
